Please review this information before contacting our Billing and Account Services team. Doing so could help us more quickly resolve the matter you're experiencing.

  • You can retrieve lost account names and passwords online with our password-recovery feature. Simply answer the secret security question associated with the account.

  • Our Billing and Account Services representatives will be unable to assist you with a World of Warcraft account if you are not the person registered on the account or are unable to provide sufficient details on the account. Please be ready to provide the following information when contacting us with account-related inquiries:
    • Authentication Key (for the expansion as well, if it's installed)
    • Answer to Security Question
    • Information on the credit card or game card being used to pay for the account

  • You can modify nearly all account information, including the associated email address, directly by logging in to Account Management.
  • If you have just initiated a paid character transfer, please refrain from logging in with that specific character; doing so may delay or terminate the transfer. The transfer can sometimes be completed more quickly or take slightly longer than the rough estimate provided. Please note that you can check the current status of the transfer by logging in to Account Management.
  • To upgrade a trial account to The Burning Crusade, you must first upgrade to the retail version of World of Warcraft. If you have a 10- or 14-day trial account, please note that these accounts do not require formal cancellation and will not be billed unless they are upgraded to a retail account.
