Delays, Delays, and
a...Release?

Besides the Tabula Rasa launch that occurred last week, a whole variety
of MMOG news seemed to spring up practically over night. Cody "Micajah"
Bye issues his opinions on the Warhammer Online release, the current
release schedule for the MMOG market, and the sudden, surprising
announcement of the Pirates of the Caribbean Online release. Check it
all out in his blog, "So..Your Wife Doesn't Game?"

Speaking of delays, it seems almost too easy for
several of these MMOG
companies to launch their MMOGs without direct competition. SOE moved
the released for Pirates of the Burning Sea to a later date, Age of
Conan hit a date after that, and now Warhammer Online is perched to
release mid-summer? Are the publishers just getting on the phone with
each other and discussing when they can release their games? C'mon
people! Where's the competitive spirit?!
