3019 January 26,
from the Journal of Gramdrim Ironhide, Warg-Foe
My heart swells with pride and
awe at the sights I have seen before me. We have entered Khazad
Dum! Gabilgathol A Khazad! This hour has long been dreamed
of in my heart.
All is not joy, though. I and Iorfariel have fought a hard
battle, and Durin's folk have died hard deaths because of creatures
that befouled the very shadows and pools before the ancient kingdom's
border. Iorfariel seems concerned with the darkness, and I do not
blame her, for it does not take an elf to be uncomfortable with the
shadows of the halls of Moria. The darkness here has bones on the
stones, and creatures stir beyond the edge of our torches and at the
borders of our hearing. But nonetheless, we have entered Khazad
Dum, and Durin's Folk, hardship or no, begin to reclaim our own.
Only one fear do I feel, one which I think is the greatest in
Iorfariel's heart.. where and what is found of Durin's Bane? No
sign of it have we uncovered.

style="border: 2px solid ; width: 200px; height: 139px;" align="left">The
most important quest chain in the entirety of Eregion is Book 1 Volume
2 called The Walls of Moria.
This is because it unlocks your ability to use legendary weapons and
grants you access to Moria itself. It is not a difficult quest
but some of it has to be soloed. Make sure you have food, healing
potions, and maybe a hope token, though it is quite possible you won't
need any of that to complete this quest.
style="font-weight: bold;">If you don't want to see spoilers, stop
reading now.
One important thing to note, there are other quests at the Walls
of Moria besides V2B1. These quests are not particularly hard
(though some take a fair amount of time, and can be a little
challenging), but are noteworthy in that the climax in a great
instanced quest, where you see the release of the Balrog. If you
start chapter 8 of the Walls of Moria, you
cannot go back and do the other, non epic quests, so make sure
your either have completed these other quests or do not wish to see the
release of the Balrog before you continue.

Hollin
Sirannon,
50.6S, 7.6W
expedition of dwarves has
come to Hollin intending to reclaim the lost halls of Khazad-dûm.
to Tulk
Tulk is east of the ruined gate near the Walls of Moria, in the
south-east of Eregion.
Ráthwald has told you that an expedition of dwarves has come to
Hollin to seek out Balin within the halls of Khazad-dûm. He has
told you to offer your aid to Tulk just beyond the ruined gate where he
keeps watch.
(Author's Note: Simply enter,
and Tulk is around the corner a little up
the trail)

2: Along the Sirannon

to the expedition of dwarves that has come to Hollin to reclaim the
halls of Khazad-dûm beneath the mountains.
(4) Collect Jagged Talons
Spying crebain can be found along the banks of the dried-up Sirannon,
south-east of the ruined gate in the area near the Walls of Moria.
Tulk has asked you to defeat the spying crebain along the banks of the
Sirannon and to bring him their talons, which can be put to various
uses.
3: Bosi the Dwarf
of Moria,
50.7S, 7.2W
has asked you to bring a
report to Bósi, the leader of the expedition of dwarves.
Bósi's kin have come to Hollin purposing to enter Moria.
Tulk's Report to Bosi
Bósi is overseeing some of the waggons along the road through
Hollin, south-east from the Hollin Gate and then bending to the
north-east.
Tulk has given you a report to bring to Bósi, one of the dwarves
leading the expedition to Hollin.
4: Outside The Gates
51.4S, 5.9W
help re-supply the workers attempting to unearth the Hollin Gate with
lunches in order to keep their spirits high.
Dwarf Workers
Dwarf-workers can be found north of Bósi's encampment, all along
the winding road that runs up to the Hollin Gate.
Bósi has asked you to deliver lunches to the dwarves charged
with unearthing the rubble in front of the Hollin Gate, and to then
report to Wárr.
(Author's Note: Just follow the
road and you eventually will come to
all the dwarves. The road goes north, now straight to the
gate. Nothing attacks you from the waters outside the mines.)
2. Talk to Warr
3. Bring the broken pickaxes to Bosi
Bósi is overseeing some of the waggons near the banks of the
dried-up Sirannon, south of the road that winds up to the Hollin Gate.
Wárr has asked you to deliver a supply of broken pickaxes to
Bósi and to request replacements.

here among my fellow dwarves was clear. I will privately admit, I
worried that in their haste they would take risks unneeded in their

replace the ones broken by the dwarves at the Hollin Gate.

(6) Collect Thick Branches
Thick branches can be found at the base of trees in the area around the
Hollin Gate. Bori is likely talking to his friend Bróin at the
stairs east of Bósi.
Bósi has asked you to collect thick branches with which to make
sturdy pick-handles and to help his son Bori with the task of gathering
sharpening stones.
(Author's Notes: The branches
are found under every tree around.

Eregion stones for Bori
Stones can be found along the dry bed of the Sirannon, but not every
stone is suitably sharp.
Bori is waiting for you to bring him enough stones to sharpen the
pickaxes needed by the workers unearthing the Hollin Gate.
(Author's Note: sharp stones
are all over the place.)
6: Cousin Brogur
of Moria,
51.4S, 5.9W
thanked you for your
part in gathering materials for the crafting of new pickaxes, and sent
you to Brogur so you may lend your aid to his cousin.
to Brogur
Bósi's cousin Brogur is somewhere along the road that winds up
to the Hollin Gate, north of Bósi's position.
Bósi has asked you to lend your aid to his cousin Brogur while
the pickaxes are being crafted.

The cause of the wolves' fearsome behaviour may be found among their
lairs, south of Brogur's location and across the Sirannon's dry
river-bed. Brogur believes the cave Filgogân may hold some clue
to the wolves' madness, in the far southwestern corner of the area.
Bróin can be seen talking to Bori at the base of the stairs that
climb to the pool in front of the Hollin Gate.
Brogur has asked you to search for the cause of the shadow-wolves
growing madness, and to help his son Bróin with a task. When you
have done each of these things, he told you to speak with his cousin
Bósi.
(Author's Note: Broin is at
51.2S, 5.1W. Head into
Filgogân, Directly in the room is a burnt wolf corpse on the far
floor.)
