Some EVE Online players may soon need to upgrade their graphics card. The final days of support for Shader Model 2 technology in the game is upon us and as of April 5th, CCP will no longer support Shader Model 2 graphics card for the game. Shader Model 2 cards will still work, but CCP is urging players to upgrade and will be developing the game around Shader Model 3 minimum specifications. If graphics cards seem a bit too expensive for you at the moment, CCP is also attempting to secure a discount deal with graphics card vendors to aid players in upgrading if they choose to.
