When it comes to heavy blunt objects size matters, and that thought is the driving force behind the Hammerer’s choice of weapons. His job is to bash things good and solid, and in keeping with a Dwarf’s nature he’s selected the best tool for the job: the great hammer.

The Hammerer Specialty:

• A Hammerer’s most powerful blows can slow him down, but the blow’s devastating impact is well worth it
• The longer the fight, the more the Hammerer’s strength and quickness increase
• As long as there are more foes to fight, the Hammerer can build up momentum

Playing as a Hammerer:

• As a Hammerer your job is relatively simple: Hit things hard!
• Your strength will grow the longer the fight runs, so your best tactics put you in battle quickly and focus on dropping a single foe
• When your enemy falls to your hammer you must keep your momentum going or risk losing it

Fighting a Hammerer:

• Deploying a tank against him may be a good choice, especially one whose specialization will help avoid the Hammerer’s powerful attacks.
• Try and break the Hammerer’s momentum through cleaver tactics and agile movement

The Hammerer Look:

• Well armored in medium weight armor (decorated with dwarfen motifs)
• Wears imposing and elaborate open face helms (with continuing dwarfen motifs)
• Wields a massive great hammer (powerfully designed and decorated)

The Ten Ton Thought:

”Smashing things good” has always been a good pastime and now the Dwarves offer that chance in Warhammer Online with the Hammerer class. Able to go into melee and stay there, with their abilities getting more powerful as momentum is gained; the Hammerer is a deadly class against all but the most defensively specced characters. If you like Dwarves but you want something more DPS related, the Hammerer is a good thing to check out.
