CCP began as a small developer in Reykjavik , Iceland, launching what became a widely popular space-based sandbox game known as EVE Online. Since that faithful 2003 launch, CCP has continued to grow and even has two other projects in the works with World of Darkness and the FPS expansion of the EVE universe with Dust 514. So like any developer, CCP needs to expand. In a recent press release, CCP announced that it will be expanding its North American headquarters, moving its location from Gwinnett County to the City of Decatur in DeKalb County Georgia in an expansion that is expected to bring 150 new jobs to the area by 2013, increasing CCP's U.S. staff up to 300.

"Decatur offers the perfect blend of big city accessibility with a hometown feel that we were looking for," said Mike Tinney, President of CCP North America. "Georgia's financial climate combined with Decatur's social climate provide the ideal conditions for continued growth."
