With an extensive array of characters, Heroes of the Storm allows us to play some of the best heroes and villains from all three of Blizzard's fantastic franchises. Diablo, Nova, Uther, and more are brought to life inside the game. The best part? This is only the beginning when it comes to playable characters.
Blizzard has made it no secret that new characters will continuously be added to Heroes and we are as excited as schoolgirls about that fact. Any character from any of the three (perhaps someday four) franchises may be added to the game at any time. With this in the back of our minds, we find ourselves speculating on which heroes (or villains) we really want to see make an appearance in the game.
While the possibilities here are virtually endless, there are a few characters that really stick out. These characters have big personalities, contain tons of potential, and would (in my personal opinion) be a absolute blast to play and face off against.
Check out my picks for the top 10 characters that need to make their debut into Heroes of the Storm below and see if you agree:
Yrel
Yrel is a fairly new character to the World of Warcraft universe, however, she has manged to make a big impression. Introduced in the Warlords of Dreanor expansion, Yrel started off as a nobody, but quickly rose to something special along the course of the Alliance quest line. Even the Prophet Velen saw something unique in this young Draenei. With a distinct lack of Draenei heroes in the game, Yrel would be an excellent place to start.
Wirt
Wirt is one of those characters that will stay with Diablo fans together. First seen in the original Diablo, Wirt was a peg-legged boy trying to make some extra cash and get himself out of Tristram. Despite the fact he ripped us off at every opportunity, Wirt found a special place in most of our hearts. As any Diablo fan will know Wirt did not make it out of Tristram, but his legacy has continued on throughout the Diablo series. It is time this plucky lad gets resurrected into Heroes of the Storm, peg leg and all.
Reshad and Percy
I love the Arakkoa Outcasts and after getting a chance to know them in Warlords, I think a lot more people love them too. While there are many great and noteworthy Outcasts, some with more of a foot hold in Warcraft lore, Reshad and his lovable bird companion Percy are still my choice. Clearly made to be a support class, these two would nonetheless bring their own personal brand of humor to the game (Fifty Layers of Shadow, anyone?) , while getting the Outcast Arakkoa represented in Heroes of the Storm.
The Overmind
I know what you are thinking. The Overmind? Out of all the Starcraft characters I could have picked and this is it. Don't judge me yet. I love a good villain and the Overmind is exactly that. Don't just take it from me. The Overmind ranked eighth on GamePro's most diabolical video game villain list. Still not on board for the Overmind as the next Heroes character? Take a brief moment and picture this so-awful-it-is-almost-funny thing running around the map. Need I say more?
Alleria Windrunner
Does the last name Windrunner sound familiar to you? It should, it is a last name also held by the infamous Sylvanas. Alleria is Sylvanas's elder and just as talented sister. An accomplished ranger, Alleria is an elf that can certainly hold her own. Unfortunately, after a serious of events taking place on Draenor, Alleria and her lover; Turalyon, have both vanished. Heroes of the Storm is the perfect place for this deadly elf maiden to make a reappearance and show her little sister who is boss. Perhaps Turalyon won't be far behind?
Adria
Adria is one of those characters we absolutely love to hate. Making an appearance throughout the Diablo games she has left her mark. While many would argue for more evil or interesting characters to appear, I would have to disagree. Lady tricked her daughter into turning into a Prime Evil, how much more evil can you get? Adria is the perfect combination of spellbinding, mysterious, and wicked in one package. While she was defeated in Diablo, she definitely needs to make a grand re-entrance in Heroes of the Storm.
That wraps up my picks for the five heroes we NEED to see sometime soon in Heroes of the Storm. Do any of these heroes (or villains) match your list? What heroes would you like to see in game? Share them with us in the comments section below!
