BlizzCon 2015 is on the horizon and with the schedule released for public viewing, it is time to get serious. Taking place at the Anaheim Convention center, the two-day event promises to be an orgy of Blizzard related glory and we wish that we could take part in it all. However, for many reasons, many fans will be unable to attend or view every single panel this year. With that in mind we have scoured the schedule and pulled out five panels that we felt were the most interesting and most likely to be considered must-see at this years BlizzCon.
If you are struggling with this particular dilemma be sure to check out our picks below:
The Future of Starcraft
For Starcraft fans, this panel cannot be missed. With the Starcraft franchise seemingly wrapping up, fans are wondering what is next. Is Starcraft over? Will the legacy continue? It is likely that many of these questions concerning the future of this popular game will be answered here. While this is a pretty short panel, it has clear potential to be one of the most exciting (or disappointing) at BlizzCon 2015. Check this panel out at 12:30 PM PST on Friday. Sadly, this panel falls into the same time slot as the World of Warcraft: Legion – World and Content Overview, choose wisely if you can only manage to see one of the two.
Heroes of the Storm – State of the Game
Even MOBA noobs like me love Heroes of the Storm and this is the panel to cater to our need to know more about where this game is going in the future. The development team will take us on journey showing us how the game has evolved so far and what we have to look forward to next including; Hero changes, Battlegrounds, and Hero talents. This panel is where any surprises for the game will likely be revealed and thus, it shouldn't be missed. Heroes of the Storm – State of the Game takes place on Saturday at 11:30 AM PST.
Overwatch: What's New
There are two Overwatch panels available at this year's BlizzCon. This one seems to be the most promising. Developers will discuss the newest heroes, maps, and game play features coming in Blizzard's brand new game. Basically, this is all the juicy details that every fan of this game will want to know. The other panel will cover the lore of Overwatch and, while interesting, falls slightly short of the What's New panel. Overwatch: What's New takes place on Friday at 4:45 PM PST.
Blood and Treasure – New Content and Features for Reaper of Souls
Okay, honestly, it is debatable if this panel could have been simply left off the list. After all, it is likely that we won't see anything truly special here. With that being said, it is the only (and I mean ONLY) Diablo 3 related panel scheduled for the entire event so it is worth seeing for simply that reason alone. Besides the sympathy factor, this panel will likely reveal any and all new content we can hope to see in Reaper of Souls. The surprise factor here will probably be pretty minimal, but this panel is probably worth checking out just the same. Blood and Treasure – New Content and Features for Reaper of Souls takes place on Friday at 3:30 PM PST .
World of Warcraft: Legion – World and Content Overview
Legion is the exciting new expansion for World of Warcraft and so far information about this new addition has been pretty limited. This hour and a half long panel has the chance to answer many of our burning questions. Promising and epic tour of the new content we will explore in Legion, we will hopefully get our first good glimpse into the finer details of this brand new expansion pack including:
- Broken Isle Zones
- New Dungeons and Raids
- Legion Story
- Misc. Upcoming Features
- And More!
World of Warcraft: Legion – World and Content Overview takes place on Friday at 12:30 PM PST.
That wraps up our personal picks for must-see panels at BlizzCon 2015. These panels are sure to tickle your Blizzard fan fancy. However, if possible, take the time to watch as much of the show as you can, you won't regret it. BlizzCon is almost always worth every second.
