How the Marvel Universe is Expanding in 2021

Since its initial humble beginnings, the Marvel Universe has grown exponentially. This trend has been spurred on by the franchise’s phenomenal popularity, with everything from comic books to movies and even slot games adding to the plethora of content that’s out there.

After the release of Avengers: Endgame, however, many fans were disappointed. The movie marked the close of an era for the onscreen Marvel Universe, but this break was never intended to last forever.

Enter 2021, the year of its long-awaited return. And it’s not only Marvel movies that are making their way back to the mainstream. Here’s what you have to look forward to in the weeks and months to come. 

Nine new Marvel movies and TV shows

Over the course of the year, fans can expect the release of nine – yes, nine – Marvel movies and TV shows. These releases started back in January when WandaVision made its debut. Mixing up era-stylized sitcom satire with an epic MCU adventure, the show reunited Vision and Wanda Maximoff on our screens.

However, this latest fun offering is only whetting our appetites, because there’s a lot more to come. This includes the Disney Plus original Falcon and the Winter Soldier on March 19th, Black Widow on May 7th, and Loki in the same month.      

From there on, expect to see a slew of new releases, including:

• Shangi-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on July 9th
• The Eternals on November 5th
• Spider-Man 3 on December 17th
• Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel in late 2021

A new Avengers slot game

A new Avengers slot is also rumored for release in 2021 after Playtech removed their previous popular offerings from their portfolio. This has sent the rumor mill into overdrive, with something special expected in the near future.  

While we don’t yet know what this will look like, it makes sense that the franchise would want to expand its presence in the ever-growing online slot market. Upcoming Marvel comics: Heroes Reborn

Of course, comics are where it all began, and you can expect to see some new versions of these bursting onto the scene too. Heroes Reborn is expected to launch in May 2021, and it has already generated a lot of speculation.

It begins in a world filled with ‘what ifs’ – a world that has, to all intents and purposes, been reborn and made afresh. It’s an interesting concept, and one we look forward to seeing explored between the pages of these latest editions.
