Troll Report 5/16/08

This weeks troll report alks about the new Runekeeper, has some comedic
relief and, of course, discusses what class is considered overpowered
this week!  In addition, a forum week wouldn't be complete without
discussing breaking canon in the Tolkein setting.  There is a bit
of helpful discussion about UI set up though.  All right here with
this week's troll report!

decided to try my hand at a few using the LOTRO theme.

Interview on Tentonhammer

"This interview reveals a lot such as...



    * The Runekeeper is magic based and is the official
dwarven loremaster

    * Monster player will get some type of advancement

    * Players will be getting dynamic player lighting
(torches)

    * There are several new concept art pictures

    * Eregion for book 14 will go up to the hollin gate

Are
Burgs overpowered?

"I don't know never having rolled one. What do you think
and if you
think they are then why? Or do you think they are fairly balanced..."

The
feasability of Mordor

"Basicly, how is it going to be possible to go into Mordor?
I say this
because theres numerous difficultys lorewise, the main two known paths
is the black gate (which is only really feasible to visit as a instance
with the lords of gondor) and the pass of Cirith Ungol, which is
overall a big nono because Frodo went that direction and most of the
plot of the books was to divert Saurons.."

Wardens
and Runekeepers (ie. Rangers and Wizards?

"Am I the only one who sees this slim connection?



Wardens of Annuminas? Wardens = Rangers.. noobs begging Turbine day and
night to play a ranger in-game and not just the moors and so we get a
ranger like class?



Anyone else thinking perhaps of SWG and the Jedi?

Need
a Bigger Quest Log

"Like all the smart players that have hit 50, I am holding
off on all
my quest turn-ins until the release of MoM and the level 60 cap.



I am now out of room and I really need to be able to start more quests.
Who wants to waste all that xp?? Turbine should consider fixing this
before the masses leave LOTRO due to precious xp..."
