This weeks forum discussion is full of news.  With Mines of Moria
now having Warner Brothers as a distributor, the ongoing Book 14: Ring
Lore quests, and others, there is a lot to talk about.  There is
also some newbie questions, and a couple talks about the bad parts (in
the poster's mind) with the Mines of Moria.

Please post in Eastern Daylight Savings time (EDT); for clarity do not
say server time, hobbit time, or lunchtime.

Please post numbers as close as possible to 8am, 12 noon, and 8pm EDT.
Of course you can post additional times (I know some servers are really
excited) but I will use the posts closest to the time listed above.

"My main is a hobbit minstrel, for racial trait, I need to
kill some
wolves, and he is lvl 28 now.  He is doing quests near guruth and
Esteldin, kill some wargs. I wonder whether.."

Wardens specialize in ambushing and focusing on single enemies."



I'm not sure what makes their role unique from guardians. They're both
primarily single-target tanks. Why should anyone take a tank with
medium armour that can only tank one mob? And the part about not
needing to 'wait for opportunities'..."

major mistake and major lore breaking

"I looked for the other posts about this that I thought had
to be there
but I didn't find them. So maybe I am the first to have read the
article and posted on it I don't know. If so let me be the first to say
it. The way the runekeeper is portrayed in the gamespy interview
endorses EVERY issue I had with it when it was introduced. For those

They even call the runekeeper the first magic class and use Galadriel
as the basis. This shows an incredible lack of understanding or lack of
caring about the lore. I KNOW Turbine knows better than this from the
many forum discussions I have had with them through beta and elsewhere
about this issue. I do have to wonder however after the HUGE discussion
in beta and after the game went live about how really the loremaster
goes to far in breaking the lore they would even think about doing
something like this. As explained by Tolkein in a letter which appears
in my copy of the silmarilion what the elves use IS NOT magic. Magic
represents science in the world of the lord of the rings and is
considered to be INNATELY EVIL. The major part of Tolkein's philosophy
was that trying to change the world even if you thought it would be for
the better ALWAYS turned out to be evil and worse. Tolkien was a
non-repentant Luddite all throughout his life.
