style="font-style: italic;">
We are now in the darkness.
Even in his enthusiasm for the works of old of his folk, Gramdrim seems
to take some pause at the danger here, though I think he means this
caution to seem instead to be awe at the great works. While I am
not a lover of works of cold stone, there is a majesty in the works
here,
even though partly in ruin. The folk of Durin are no slackards,
now nor especially in their (to them) distant past. Great
columns, carvings, and works are seen at every turn, and all are truly
amazing. At least at the entrance to this place, the great evil
that may still dwell here is not seen.
style="font-style: italic;">
The Mines of Moria are an enormous place, filled to the brim with
goblins and other dangerous creatures. But the first thing you do
when entering Moria is start small. The very entrance of Moria is
known as "Durin's Threshold". In here, you get some quests
that send you to other areas of Moria, and also some quests introducing
you to Moria previous tenants, goblins. Most of these are not too
hard, simply make sure you are ready for some fighting, and learn to
travel carefully. There are guides in Moria who help you get form
point A to point B without too much trouble.

Moria. My heart, while still oppressed in these shadows, yet
lightens. While goblins, rampant insects, and other things
lurk here, no sign at all of the evil known as Durin's Bane is
found. Is it too much to hope this remains the case?
