Iron Garrison is a powerful faction of dwarves living in the very heart
of

at Dolven View. This group has two seperate sub-factions, the
Iron Garrison Guards and the Iron Garrison Miners. The Miners
have some outstanding rewards, most notably the Hunter Guide ability,

miners also have mounts! The hardy

Goats are available in two types, one which is slower than the
other.
When planning to build reputation with the Iron Miners, it is important
to remember two things. First, the Iron Garrison Miners are found
in Dolven View right next to the Iron Garrison Guard representative,
and they both accept the exact same barter items. Make sure you
pick the right one, the guards do not give out mounts. Secondly,
one should keep in mind the closeness of enemies in Moria. A lot
of those enemies are not particularly aggressive, so if you run past
them, they will not attack as long as you don't linger. Other
enemies are quick to attack, and since you are not out in the open, a
goat is less useful than a horse would be outdoors. Still, some
will find the goat worth it, some otherwise.
It will be noted that all the cloaks, capes and mantles look alike.
This will presumably be corrected in a update to the Mines of Moria
expansion.

great ally to the Iron
Garrison Miners, one can expect access to their best trained and
quickest goats. This goat can move as fast as most horses.
The Iron Garrison Miners have
been training Redhorn mountain-goats to use as mounts. These
sure-footed creatures can traverse the rocky paths of Moria where no
horse could go. This is one of their tame goats, making it not as
fast as others.
