Ashes of History: The Song of
Karine

Phase 1 of the latest world event, Ashes of History, is well underway.
But don’t fret if you’re new to the game or haven’t yet embarked on any
of the quests, because we have all the info you need to get up to speed
in no time.



Quest and reward vendors occupy their usual spots in Meridian and
Sanctum, providing you with quests  to obtain event currency
and the items to purchase with them.  style="font-style: italic;">

Quests

The first quest to embark on is an
attunement quest that
will have you find a large blue stone just outside your capital and
interact
with it. The interaction will cause the stone to “speak” to you and
fill you in
on the lore behind this latest world event.

Once you complete this mini-attunement, several other quests will open
up for you. Most of them are random and include closing Earth and Fire
Rifts and then gathering items from the mobs you kill during those
encounters. The world event currency, the Magma Opal, also is given out
as a reward in Fire and Earth Rifts.



One of the more consistent quests in the rotation is one that asks you
to listen to the notes from a stone and then replicate them on 5 nearby
stones. Clicking on each stone results in a note being played, and
playing one out of order will cause a failure and necessitate you
restarting the process.



Below is the answer on which order to activate the stones, so avert
your eyes if you don't like spoilers.
