alt="Garrosh Orgrimmar" />

Garrosh Hellscream has all but dug his
own grave. With insults to both Horde, Alliance, and Pandaren, he has
been walking a very fine line indeed. In Patch 5.4, the fine line
holding up Garrosh and his regime has reached it's breaking point and
members of Horde and Alliance will take up arms together to rid the
world of his cruel and destructive leadership. I, for one, have been
waiting for this day for a very, very long time.

Unfortunately, myself and other players
who are also eager to get their chance to take down this corrupt
Warchief will have to wait a bit longer. Unless of course you are in one of the super amazing raiding guilds that will take this guy down in just a few short days. Or if you read or watch some spoilers, which I am not ready to do. However, despite my reluctance to see spoilers, that doesn’t mean we can't think about what may happen. We
know that Garrosh's reign will end, but how exactly will the big, bad
Warchief go down? Check out our top five theories on how that final
battle will ultimately go down below:

Escape

If you are like me, you are greatly
anticipating the chance to sink your weapon into Garrosh. Of course
we will all get that chance, but the outcome may not be one we
expect. Your raid group may have battled hard and fierce against
Garrosh, in fact, defeat seems clear and you are all ready to
celebrate when something unexpected happens. A cut scene ensues and
in a last ditch effect, Garrosh manages a miraculous escape.

While it seems unlikely, especially
with the whole of the Alliance and Horde turned against him, I have
learned to never say never. An escape by Garrosh would remove him
from power and allow his storyline to continue on. Just think about
it, a beaten and broken Garrosh wandering the world plotting his
revenge and looking for allies. Perhaps a perfect setup for the
reintroduction of the Burning Legion?

Fall on your sword

Garrosh has brought on a regime that
has similar tactics to a notorious real life villain; Adolf Hitler. While
no exterminations have been carried out yet (at least that we
know of), Garrosh is hellbent on the idea that Orcs are the superior race.
Combine that with his need to bring every bit of land and every
other race under his control and the similarities are pretty striking.

Also much
like Hitler, he has inspired much of the world to come together with the
common cause of putting an end to his destructive reign. With
both Horde and Alliance forces converging on Orgirmmar it is likely that
much like the late Führer, Garrosh will go into
hiding, taking only those who he feels intimately close to. When he
finally realizes that his fate is sealed and all is fallen, he may
choose to take his own life, rather than be capture or killed by those
who stand against him.

Seized!

Most bosses, after significant effort
by a raid group, simply die. The loot is handed out and everyone
celebrates. Garrosh Hellscream is a little bit different than any
other boss we have ever seen and therefore death may not be his
ultimate fate. While most of the Horde leaders will call for his
demise, others may be swayed in the ways of mercy and allow him to
live. While this may not satisfy our lust for blood, it is a fitting
fate. For being an eternal captive is, at least in my personal
opinion, a worse fate than death for one such as Garrosh.

Et tu, Brute?

Much like the infamous Julius Caesar,
it could be that Garrosh will meet his maker at the hands of a friend or
at least someone he thought was a friend. An inside betrayal would
be a perfect addition to the storyline and one that doesn't seem too
unlikely. Garrosh has made it a point to alienate and demean almost
everyone he has come into contact with. While most of his supporters are
on board with his plans, there may be at least a few in his inner
circle that have decided things have gone to far. Not only will this
person (or persons) help the Horde and Alliance get to Garrosh, they
may even take part in the final blow.

Termination

While there are many possibilities for
Garrosh out there, it may turn out that the final battle will end in
the way that almost every other boss fight has ended; termination.
When that final blow is dealt by the raid Garrosh will die, probably
with at least a few last words, and players will celebrate and
collect their loot. The terror of his regime will be over and the
Horde and Alliance will be left with the clean up of the mess made by
this corrupted Warchief. With Horde and Alliance forces both
seemingly out for blood, this seems the most likely of Garrosh's
possible fates. I will be the first to say that, while there are
perhaps more interesting endings, I won't be sorry to see this
destructive Orc draw his last breath.

That rounds up our top 5 theories on
what fate Garrosh may find when we finally get the chance to face off
against him in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid instance. How do you think
the final battle will end? Share your thoughts with us in the
