Last week we brought you the top 6
worst World of Warcraft raid boss fights of all time. Since we all
know that most bosses in the game don't inherently suck, this week we
want to take on a more positive light. This time around we will be
exploring the top 6 best raid boss fights of all time. These fights
are big bad and most of all epic. Check out the list below and see if
our picks line up with yours.

Illidan Stormrage, Black Temple

Black Temple was a pretty epic
instance. Almost every boss inside left us with a feeling of
satisfaction after defeating them. So taking that first step onto the
terrace holding Illidan was a pretty big deal. Even kneeling, Illidan
was a pretty impressive sight. Our raid knew from the minute we
positioned ourselves and began the fight, that we were in for a
battle of epic proportions. Illidan challenged our raid that very few
boss fights before had and let's face it...the guy certainly knew how
to make an entrance. With a strong storyline entrenched firmly
behind him, Illidan proved to be everything that should be when it
comes to end game raiding.

Nefarian, Blackwing Lair

Nefarian, the final boss inside
Blackwing Lair, was a game changer. Nef was the first boss players
had really encountered that really required them to continuously be
on their toes. This fight really kept you guessing. Most bosses to
this point were pretty straightforward, tank, spank, and stay out of
the stuff on the ground. Nefarian threw a wrench in the works by
using the powers of each class against them. Players spent most the
fight on the edge of their seats waiting on the next class call and
hoping they didn't screw up. This fight also required players to done
the infamous Onyixa Scale Cloak, an item most players have
steadfastly kept in their banks, a real tribute to the epicness of
this fight.

Ragnaros the Firelord, Molten Core

Ragnaros will forever live on in infamy
because he was the first true big bad boss of World of Warcraft. When
you walked up to the pit of fire and summoned forth Ragnaros, you
knew you had accomplished something fantastic. The actual boss fight
was pretty incredible as well. For the time, this fight was intense.
With two phases (active and submerged) Ragnaros really put raids of
the day to the test. Not to mention the lengthy battle it took to
even get to this boss. Having Ragnaros on farm status was truly an
impressive feat.

Kael'thas, Tempest Keep

Kael'thas is one of those bosses that
everybody loves to hate. Five different phases, five different mobs
to take on as well as a set of weapons bent on destroying your raid,
this fight has a little bit of everything all rolled into one. Your
raid needed to be on its toes and ready to face whatever Kael'thas
threw at you every single moment or your raid was sure to wipe.
Arrogant and more than a bit of a pain in the ass, Kael'thas caused
more than a few facepalms along the way. However, the fight was
intense, well thought out and required synergy between the raid that
only a few boss fights can compare to. For all these reasons, and the
sheer satisfaction gained by finally defeating this Blood Elf douche,
Kael'thas easily makes this list.

C'thun, Ahn'Qiraj

C'thun was (and still is if you take
the time to visit Ahn'Qiraj) a giant eyeball. To make matters worse,
this giant eyeball also has the ability to shoot lasers, summon
tentacles and break apart guilds all at the same time. This boss for
a time was considered to be unbeatable. Even after being “fixed”,
this boss was for a very long time considered to be the most
difficult boss fight in the game. With two phases of sheer terror,
guilds who actually did defeat C'thun became better for the
experience and would never forget their attempts to take down this
Old God.

Heigan the Unclean, Naxxramas

The only boss that managed to make this
list that isn’t an end game boss is Heigan the Unclean. While many
people may wonder why this particular boss managed to make the list,
they obviously didn't appreciate the subtle dance that was the
epitome of this battle. This fight wasn't overly difficult, but there
was something special about watching players try to get down the
“dance” moves and either succeeding or dieing in green slime. Not
to mention this is one of the few fights in the game where only the
tank and healer can remain alive and the fight can still be won.

best raid boss fights in World of Warcraft. Do any of these bosses
