Mythic has GM power and they're not afraid to use it.
It is amazing to watch the speed and impact that Mythic is using to address various facets of Warhammer Online. First the scenarios needed a little love, and BAM now you can queue for all three scenarios. Fans saying "Hey we need a mail icon" was not met with "nope, working as intended," no it was met with the inclusion of a mail icon. One area that has been a concern is the open RvR in the RvR areas, or should I say the lack of RvR occurring in those areas. Either way, we all have double the reasons to go kick some backside in there now according to today's Herald:
"With the addition of the new region-wide and RvR-wide chat channels we have seen a marked increase in Open RvR participation. In order to encourage this trend even further, we have made an additional adjustment to the experience awarded for killing enemy players in an Open RvR area. Previously we increased this amount by 50%. As of today, that bonus has been raised to 100%. With this change players killed in Open RvR will now be worth double the experience than those killed in scenarios!"
So now we can get chunks of XP while carving chunks out of the enemies! I like it. Provide players incentives to enjoy various parts of the game that aren't being taken advantage of, what a novel concept. Maybe the open RvR just needed a little kick-start.
