Serious Guardian Problems: The Book 12 Requirements Thread

Making a return to the hot threads this week is this thread relating to the Guardian update for Book 12. Many great suggestions have been made and some have received a lot of developer response. If you have a wish list item for the Guardian class, this is the place to put it. The developers do listen, and you never know, you just might make a suggestion that can change the Guardian class.

If developers think we are an ungrateful lot, it will be due to threads like these. During the patch last week, the servers were down for some time due to an issue. The developers offered a small token gift to try and make up for it. Of course, it wasn't good enough for some. Sort of reminds me of making a peace offering and having a glass of liquid tossed back in your face. These things happen with Online games. Every now and then there will be downtime. Turbine did at least make an effort. Many others would have simply sent you on your merry without so much as an apology.

Turbine proves their awesomeness

This thread is pretty much opposite of the previous one. It does show some appreciation for Turbine at least trying to make up the unavoidable lost time and it offers up some well deserved credit for it. While some might disagree, none can deny that this is seldom done by major MMOG companies for loss of downtime. A lot simply expect you to know it comes with the territory..

special XMAS conjunction!

This thread was started by Siebahn and offers up a holiday idea that might actually have some merit. A special conjunction for the Christmas holiday consisting of red/green colors and does special attacks like Santa Smite. While some may feel this conflicts with the Tolkien lore, let us remember it is only for the holiday and seasons beatings er... greetings are always fun.

Shorter range, why?

Hukk wants to know why ranged weapons have greater distances for Hunters than Guardians or Champions. Might be a good question, but if you would like to join this discussion it has been kept fairly civil. Should a hunter have greater distance as well as greater damage? Share your thoughts.

Book 12 & protection?

Book 12 may yield changes for the Guardian skill called Protection, but that change may not involve making the skill not require a shield. Some suggestions and developer feedback are available in this thread. Share your thoughts and ideas as this thread currently has the developers attention.
