Weekly Troll Report 2/29
By Darkgolem
This weeks Lord of the Rings Online
(LOTRO) weekly troll report has some comments found in the busier and
bigger
threads on the Lotro forums. First we have people talking about
how much they like to take their time with the game, and wonder why it
isn't a race. Also, we have complaints that the higher level
quests are not so soloable, and that the raids are tough (note that
this is report is not called the fluffy bunny and ducky report, but the
troll report). Finally, it would not be a forums in a MMOG if
there wasn't comments about gold sales. Overall a fun and diverse
read. Don't forget to check down at the bottom for any updates or
articles you might have missed!

thought they were going to make the Epic quests more casual/solo
friendly?
What ever happened to that? I just tried a lvl 40 Epic
quest with my
lvl 46 hunter, the one where you have to go into 3 caves and use an elf
stone.

and loving it!
I started playing on launch day last year and I'm only
level 47. I walk
around Bree looking at little details like the laundry hanging in an
alley in the middle of town. Heck, I was taking a stroll and found a
room full of cats! Sometimes I just check prices in the AH while
cracking jokes in kinchat. You know what I spent an ENTIRE evening
doing last week? I got off my horse and spent the whole evening taking
a walk through the Shire checking out all the little things that it has.
Solo
Raid
caliber instance runs. Interested?
I know, many think that you can not have a Solo raid. That
depends on
what you consider a raid to be. Is it the content or just a large group
of players that make a raid. If you think it is just having a large
number of players working together then yes, you can not have a solo
raid. If you think it is the length of the instance and level of mobs
then you can have a solo raid caliber instance. It takes a lot of
thought, planning, set up and execution to play solo. It can be more
difficult playing solo than playing with a mob mentality in a multiple
player raid. You use the same type of planning with solo play as in a
raid. One mistake when playing solo and you are dead. Same as in a
raid, one player mistake and you can wipe.

Fight is horrible
First part went fine. We purified the water in both spots.
Then we ran
to the seal and all the mobs that come from the side doors bugged out
and would not cross where the water was. It took us..

Hall Limits
Tired of Gold farmers in the game??
What about putting limits on the merchandise sold at the
AH.
Suggestion So many times above the suggested sales price you could get
from just vendoring the item. Example: Dropped Sheild sells to
vendor for 4s 50c and 100% mark up being the max amount you could apply
at the Auction Hall, it would come to 450s. Even with a max of 999% you
still only get 4g 490s. Still more reasonable then some prices of items
as much as 10 to 50 gold.
Oh now thats not even 1gold,
