Weekly Troll Report 3/28

This week's troll report includes (oddly) very little trolling. 
There is some speculation regarding what will be up and coming in the
Mines of Moria, talk of crafting (so this isn't a completely out of
line week) and some other stuff.  We also talk about Loremasters
and Minstrels a bit, plus a good piece about sticking to the party line
with the Lord of the Rings lore in Lord
of the Rings Online.



Lore
is hurting the game; You need to break free Turbine

Your subscription base would go waaay up dramatically if you broke the
lock down on Lore in this game. It stifles, strangles an MMO. I see you
are coming out with Warden and Runekeeper- which in my opinion is
pushing the envelope of the Lore.



Maybe in a way you are expanding beyond the Lore, as you know by now
the bottom line is making money and you just have to appeal to
everybody who plays MMO's. It's just the way it is



You must break free from the Lore or the game simply stagnates because
people cap out and need new things to do. Runekeeper and Warden class
is a start



Let's get some flying mounts and swimming underwater in the game along
with some firearms and artillery. It's the only way this game will
survive. Also you need to expand the number of slots for new characters
per sever to at least 12

1) Including your main character and any alts on the primary server you
play on, what professions have you achieved GM proficiency in?



2) On a scale of 1 - 10, with 1 = utterly abysmal and 10 = absolutely
perfect, how would you rate crafting as a whole in LOTRO?

Mithril

When the Moria expansion rolls around will we be able to mine and craft
with Mithril?



Hearing
other LM's Flanked! when not in Fellowship

I was finishing up Lore of the Blade and was close to another
Lore-master in the MM. I kept hearing the Flanked! audible but it was
not showing on my target. So, I selected the LM's target and it was
Flanked! This only happened when the other LM was 100m or so from me,
but it was still rather odd.



Has anyone else experienced this?



 LOTRO
tanking V.S WoW tanking

alright, in which game do you find this more important in?



IMO WoW barely needed tanks... my Arms warrior could "tank" and all
classes were so plain they pretty much could all tank... in this,
Guardians are like a necessity... what are your opinions?



any other games with great use of tanking?

I'm leaning towards a dwarf...Anybody think that's a no-no?
