Fishing - Today's patch easter egg or hint to the future?

After the small patch this week Redbeaver took notice of something in the Shire that he had not seen before. He spotted two hobbits fishing and several fish swimming about the pond. Is it a hint of things to come? Some think it could be a sign of fishing being an option in the not to distant future. Others were not quite as optimistic and offered a comical jest in counterarguments.

It looks like they're mocking us fishing advocates...
