The rivalry between EA and Activision/Blizzard is well-known in the industry and EA has set its sights on taking a "big chunk" of the World of Warcraft (WoW) market with their upcoming MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR). In a recent chat with Industry Gamers, Frank Gibeau President, EA Games Label, complimented their competitor's service and quality of product, but he didn't hold all praise for the top dog MMORPG. Gibeau also believes that WoW is an old game and that the MMORPG is more like "doing a shopping list".

Gibeau went on to praise the work that BioWare has done with SWTOR and assured that the game will be of the same BioWare quality that players have come to expect from games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age.
