World of Warcraft is a world rich with lore that has been developed for over a decade. Some of the more prominent characters in WoW have roots dating back to the old Real Time Strategy Warcraft games. This week we take a look at the mistress of death and Banshee Queen of the Forsaken, Lady Sylvanas Windrunner. Find out how this one time High Elf Ranger fell from grace, only to later rise as the leader of the Forsaken.
Sylvanas Windrunner was once a High Elf Ranger-General in the service of the elves of Silvermoon and defender of Quel'Thalas. Through misfortune and dark magic, Sylvanas fell during Arthas' attack on Quel'Thalas to gain control of the magical Sunwell there. After the battle, she was resurrected as a banshee by Arthas for giving him such a tough battle. Later, Sylvanas would regain her freedom and become the queen of the Forsaken.
