Phew, we put that whole 6/6/6 thing behind us yesterday. If only we could put 7/11 behind us. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in many religious writings. Something to the effect of, "...and the drinks shall be gulped and from the machine shall rise the ancient dogs of war." Big Gulps and old hotdogs. How clear can it be?

I hadn't considered auction prices as something that players gave much thought to. Personally, I roll into an auction house, check out the pricing and make a best guess as to whether the price is fair. It appears that some of you actually think these purchases out. Is it true? Can it be? I'll have to stop putting wool up for 1g a piece.

Thank you to Sasscreech for opening my eyes with a great idea;

"First of all, thank you for giving us a good alternative. There's nothing worse then absolutely having to go to a gold farming site to get correct info, as I'm sure many people agree. This'll definitely give thottbot a run for its money. Now, secondly, a feature that I'm sure many people would enjoy, as would I- recorded prices of auction house bids and buyouts for the items. I'm not sure how you would be able to do it, but it would be very nice to know the relative price going for an item. Am I paying too much for that Shield of the Bear? Forget thottbot, go to TenTonHammer!"

What do you think? What other features whould we be building? Let us know!

Stats are now up on the WoW database page. Miethiel has made a big move this morning trying to climb into the top 10. He is #11 with a bullet (or a frostbolt) on the charts! I wonder if we can get Casey Kasem to do our weekly top 40. Send in your "Long distance dedication".

I can just about see them now, "This long distance dedication comes from West Freeport and goes out to a friend, long lost to another world, Azeroth. Spudwhacker writes, Dear Casey...". You get the idea.

If Casey is too busy playing Shaggy in the next Scooby Doo movie, we'll go after Rick Dees or Jeff Foxworthy. Redneck MMOG statistics. Now we're talking! You might be a redneck if your house if mobile, but your vehicle isn't. We need a, "You might be a MMOG player if..." Send me a few of your best.

We have a new comic up. Though the credit is given to me. I'm only responsible for the caption. Our good man Bill, the brains behind the WoW database is responsible for taking the screenshot.

  • Terms of Gaming Graphics: Software and Graphics Settings
    "Almost eighty years ago, Rene Magritte scrawled famously below his painting of a pipe: "Ceci n'est pas une pipe", or (for monoglots like me) "This is not a pipe" - meaning that pictures aren't objects, only "treacherous" images (the painting was entitled "La Trahison des images" which even I can translate). Art scholars tell us that the painting was a reaction against the herd mentality of modern times, encouraging people to think about what they see before blindly accepting "facts" at face value."
  • Auto Assault: Terminator Guide Revamp
    "Our Terminator class guide has had a complete tune-up. The skill list has been reorganized and even more information has been added to our guide! An even more efficient class guide for one of the most efficient classes in Auto Assault!"
  • Dungeons and Dragons Online: Branching Paths - The Multiclass Paladin
    "In pen-and-paper Dungeons & Dragons paladins are unable to multiclass. In Dungeons & Dragons Online, with a few restrictions related to alignment, they're free to "play the field." But under what circumstances should a paladin multiclass? Which classes are compatible? What does a paladin gain (and lose) through multiclassing? Save-vs-DM's comprehensive guide answers these questions and more."
  • Guild Wars: Alliance Battles and You!
    "Of all the new features introduced with Guild Wars Factions, the 12 versus 12 alliance battles are one of the most exciting. Haven't found your way into those arenas yet? Kamara has a great guide to get you started. "

Vin Diesel Fact of the Day - Vin Diesel simultaneiously mastered both the dark and light side of the force.
Now on to the real world. You can't make this stuff up.
