You didn't listen to me and what happened? The Auto Assault servers were all merged into one. It may be too late now, but you really should have done yourself a favour and tried Auto Assault. The game is about as much fun as you are likely to have in a MMOG. You actually forget that you are levelling.

Blizzard released two new "Role Playing" servers yesterday. I was going to comment on the amount of role playing or lack thereof that went on, but the servers melted down moments after launch, taking with them six or so other servers, the official WoW website and the billing/account management system. Somewhere the planets must have been aligned to cause catastrophic disaster to electronics as my Blackberry service was down for the majority of the day and at 8:30pm the power went out in my house, plunging us into darkness until midnight. If I can find a role player on either of the new servers today I'll jot down his or her name. I expect it to be a short list.

The good folks at Turbine, hearing my pleas of yesterday released both a movie trailer and new screenshots for their freshly launched Dungeons and Dragons Online: Twilight Forge. The expansion includes a new playable race, the Drow. I must admit that my initial impression of DDO wasn't particularly great, but with the changes they have implemented I'm tempted to go back and try it again.
