1. Daily Column

Thanks to everyone who voted for me as "Best Lead in a Daily MMOG Column". I can feel the Emmy award in my hand already. I couldn't have done it without you.

As I watched my son's power skating (yes, I live in Canada) classes last night a parent came up to me and asked, "What do you do for a living?" I stuck out my chest and proudly announced that I was a super-hero on a top secret mission and that he had just put his life and the lives of everyone else in the arena in jeopardy. OK, I thought it. I didn't actually say it. The people in my community still believe that I have a shred of normalcy in me. I told him what I really did and he exclaimed, "I thought so!" It seems Cole, the gentleman who has ferreted out my alter-ego reads TenTonHammer.com. My fortress of solitude has been breached. Time to move on. Now I just need to convince the rest of my family that putting the house on the market is a good idea. Finding a city where nobody reads this column will be difficult. I'll start with New York. If you live in New York and read this column please mail me immediately.

Thanks to the folks who have written in telling me about their EVE Online experiences. I don't feel like such a simpleton. You guys are a lot dumber than me. Thank you!

I finally got my cruiser and attempted to find a stargate "Main Street" where I could cruise up and down for blue-skinned hotties, but for whatever reason one didn't seem to exist. Instead I took Phil "Ralphabetsoup" Comeau's advice and read up on mining. I'm now triple-lasering virtual rocks, dumping them into a virtual container, virtually swapping to the original ship, the mobile box store that I purchased thinking it could mine effectively and hauling the goods back to a virtual station for virtual refining. The money (ISK) is rolling in faster than you could stuff a dog in Paris Hilton's handbag.

Next, battleship!
