Brell Serilis Deity Quest Guide

Brell Serilis is the neutral God of Smiths and Earth, also known as the Duke of Below. Dwarves and gnomes quite often worship this God, as his affinity for precious metals is as strong as these races need to create! It's rumored that Brell is also responsible for the creation of the Ratonga, and perhaps with Brell's presence back upon Norrath, this rumor will finally be confirmed or abolished.

Brell is an all around good choice for a deity. He has no allegiance to anyone or anything but the earth and it's material creations. His seemingly fun loving attitude that many dwarves share, makes him a great choice for those of good alignment, but his desire for material wealth, forged from the ground, also appeals to the darker residences of Freeport.

Whatever your reasons for choosing Brell as your God, be forewarned, it is not easy to dedicate yourself to this deity. His trials are one of the most trying that I have come across!

To start the journey down into the Lord of the Underfoot's Realm you
should first talk to Brenlor Stormhammer near the Butcherblock griffin station in Butcherblock Mountains.

Quest 1

Building a Foundation of Devotion (level 25) - Mine sacred stone in four different locations:
1. Wailing Caves at bottom of Pit of Death
2. Fallen Gate on the path next to Pool of Percelia (41, 6, -122)
3: Blackburrow in Geologist Cave (47, -40, -17)
4. Rumbler Pen in Antonica (-870, -27, -1)

Return to Brenlor with your Sacred Stones.

Rewards: 1250 Faction, Humble Altar of Brell Serilis, unlocks Patience of the Smith and Rift from Below.

Quest 2

Prospector of Lost Faith (Level 35) - Bronlor tells you to go around to 7 locations in Butcherblock Mountains
and use the Stone Prayer Symbol to invoke Brell's blessing. This is
usable from inventory.

1. Glubbsunk Cove (657, 25, 238)
2. Kaladim (-169, 162,-520)
3. Tidesylph Isle (580, 32, -113)
4. Camp Yarpsnarl (-787, 99, -367)
5. Kamp Krulkiel (181, 262, -323)
6. Kragploom Mesa (490, 349, -139)
7. The Chessboard (-757, 100, -32)

Check in with Brenlor.

Go to Crushbone Keep in Greater Faydark and head to the top floor and enter The D'vinnian Throne (-60, 27, -43).
Complete the instance. The chalice is at the end.

THIS IS A PAIN IN THE A**!!!!

1. Speak with Lady Elizara D'Kush.

2. Kill a watchful sentry, (57, -6, -15)

3. Go through the unlocked door (-41, -9, -67)

4. Kill a watchful sentry (-68, -9, -59)

5. Open movable wall at end of hall. (-64, -9, -162)

6. Kill Ograf the Deft in Gladiator Training Hall (-76, -9, -184)

7. Go through the unlocked door (-18, -9, -142)

8. Kill General V'Narr (18, -10, -97)

9. Go through the unlocked door (26, -9, -96)

10. Kill a watchful sentry (62, -9, -96)

11. Go through the unlocked door (26, -9, -113)

12. Follow hall to the Throne Room

13. Pick up the Chalice (46, -8, -173)

Return to Bronlor in Butcherblock.

Reward: 2500 faction, Obsidian Symbol of Serilis or Onyx Symbol of
Serilis, unlocks Stature of Serilis and Brell's Favor on your altar.

Quest 3

The Anguished Children of the Duke (Level 55) - Head to Steamfront Mountains and collect 3 totems in the Bloodhorn Mines:
1st totem (-1455, 79, 1149)
2nd totem (-1457, 96, 963)
3rd totem (-1330, 75, 1279)

Return to Bronlor in Butcherblock.

Go speak to Obin Prayerbolt at Gnomeland Security in Steamfront Mountains
(-635, 174, 1096)

Go to Klak'Anon, kill Bibliotecha 1000 (-234, -11, -96) wanders around between levels.

Speak with Obin at Gnomeland Security

Return to Bronlor in Butcherblock Mountains.

Rewards: 5k faction, Summon: Underfoot Attendant, unlocks Earth's Vigil and Forgehammer on your altar.

Quest 4

Testaments of Stone (Level 65) - Go to Kaladim and find Grackbak the Scavenger (143, 17, -96) near the gladiator pit and
kill him.

Get the Tankard at (-216, 46, -83)

Take the tankard and dip it in the river at (-134, 44, -208)

Swim into the underwater tunnel behind the waterfall in the river and
find the Tome of Stone at (-212, 55, -190). The books in this cave are
not aggro.

Examine the Candlelight Cleaver (-70, -119, -81) inside Mistmoore
Catacombs, clicking spawns a dwarf vampire paladin. You will be force
mentored down to level 65 if your higher.

Kill the stinking dwarf.

Rewards: 7500 faction, Bronlor's Altar of Brell Serilis, unlocks Pick of the Duke and Armies of the Underfoot on your altar.

Quest 5

Restoring the Underfoot Cathedral (Level 70) - Use the Serillian Spirit Gem to capture 4 tormented spirits at night.
1. Loping Plains (-372, 6, 489)
2. Steamfront Mountains (-351, 90, 1,454)
3. Mistmoore Catacombs (80, -161, 121)
4. Cathedral of Kaladim

Release 4 spirits in the back of the Kaladim Cathedral.

The corrupted avatar of Brell Serilis is preventing you from releasing
the spirits that you have collected.  KILL HIM!!!

Read on for the steps to the carefully documented ring event inside the Kaladim
Cathedral. Much thanks to Aggro Fish for their help in completing this quest for the most accurate guide information. Many lives were lost!!

(Note: This can only be started if the goblins are around the avatar, which are on a 2 hour timer. Prepare to camp!)

1. Kill the 4 Bugbears around the pool in the first room.
2. Kill the Geomancers and his group that is inside the pool.
(you get message that ring event has begun.)
3. Kill the goblins that circle the Avatar in the 2nd room.
4. Kill the mobs in the center of the 3rd room.
5. Kill King Caertex 70^^^ with 2-70^^ friends. (25, 30, -536)
6. Kill the Avatar in 2nd room when it becomes targetable.
7. Release the spirits back into their tombs one at a time.  Doing so
triggers a surprise!!  Clicking each tomb triggers a group of level 71
^ and ^^ bugbears and ratonga.  Three tombs are along one wall.  The
4th tomb is in the priest cubby area under a pile of stone blocks.

Return to Brenlor for your reward.

Rewards: 10k faction, Cloak of the Underfoot, unlocks Brell's Hammer and Protection of Brell on your altar.
