The Iron Banner is not for the faint of heart, or the poorly geared. On the surface they appear just like any other Crucible match but with one major difference, gear and levels matter.

All those numbers you grinded out in raids for can finally be put to good use in a PvP setting, as stats and weapon damage are not auto balanced at the start of each game. If you happen to be a lower level with basic gear… you may want to sit out the Iron Banner until you’ve beefed up your Guardian a little bit, because you will get quickly be picked apart by high level players.

For those brave enough to enter the Iron Banner, there are a bunch of new bounties you can pick up form the bounty vendor. These bounties go directly towards your Iron Banner reputation (if you’re not representing another faction), which unlocks access to Iron Banner items, weapons, and gear.

• Anvil of Light – Defeat 50 Guardians while competing in the Iron Banner, with the Iron Banner Class, Emblem and Shader items equipped.
• Of Iron Made – Win 3 Iron Banner matches with the Iron Banner Class, Emblem and Shader items equipped.

Experience +5000 / Reputation +100

• Exacting Measures – Earn 5 Headshot Sprees while competing in the Iron Banner tournament.
• Focused Aggression – Defeat 20 guardians withprimary weapons headshots.
• Hard Forged – Earn 10000 XP while competing in the Iron Banner tournament.
• Heavy Metal – Earn 15 Machine Gun Sprees while competing in the Iron Banner tournament.
• Iron Embrace – Defeat 10 Guardians with a close quarters melee attack while competing in the Iron Banner tournament.
• Iron Wrath – Defeat 10 Guardians without dying while competing in the Iron Banner tournament.
• Rise Above – Complete an Iron Banner match with the highest score.
• The Chaos and The Calm – Defeat 10 Guardians with machine gun headshots while competing in the Iron Banner tournament.
• A Challenged Claim – Disable 3 Salvage Probes while competing in the Iron Banner tournament.
