Feats 31-40

By Scathe and Ralsu

Revised by Nuitaran 11/07/06

A rating of 1 or 2 means the Feat is pretty much
useless to a fighter and one that you probably want to avoid. A rating
of 3 indicates that the Feat can be used with some careful planning if
the fighter build has room to fit it in. We reserve a rating of 4 only
for those Feats that are almost necessary picks for a particular type
of fighter
build. A rating of 5 designates the best of the fighters Feats and ones
players should seriously consider in any href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/index.php?meid=5#Builds">DDO build
involving fighters.

31.
Precise Shot

Official Text: “Your missile attacks may pass through other characters
and monsters to strike their target.”

Prerequisite: Point Blank Shot, Received by Ranger 11

Comments: This isn’t the greatest feat in general, even for an archer
build, however, it is a prerequisite for Improved Precise Shot.
If you are primarily an Archer, you’ll want to take this one.

3

Precision

Official Text: "While using Precision mode, you trade half of your
damage for a +4 bonus to your attack rolls."

Comments: This Feat is actually not bad at all. Activate this and you
will rarely miss. The downside is that you lose a signifigant amount of
damage output, but against monsters with a high AC you will outdamage
someone who isn't using Precision. You will hit a lot more; thus, more
damage will accumulate. If you are a Weapon Finesse fighter and your
damage output is not very high, this is a nice Feat.

33.
Quick Draw

Official Text: "You can switch weapons and change armors faster."

Prerequisite: Base Attack Bonus +1

Comments: When do you need to change armor in battle? A shield and a
weapon change almost as fast you hit the hotkey. That’s all you need.
WASTE!!!

Rating:
1
style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">34.
Rapid Reload

Official Text: "You reload a crossbow faster than normal."

Prerequisite: Proficiency with any type of crossbow

Comments: It’s not that great even for a ranged fighter. This Feat
works better with light crossbows since the reload is faster than a
heavy crossbow.

Rating:
3
35.
Rapid Shot href="http://ddo.tentonhammer.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album01&id=DDO_RustMonster&op=modload&name=Gallery&file=index&include=view_photo.php"> alt="rust monster"

style="border: 0px solid ; width: 200px; height: 150px;" align="right">

Official Text: "You can fire ranged attacks faster and reload faster
when using a ranged weapon."

Prerequisite: Dexterity 13
Point Blank Shot

Comments: If you’re a ranged fighter with a bow, definitely take this
Feat.

Rating:
4

style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">36.
Resilience

Official Text: "While using Resilience mode, you trade attack bonus and
half of your damage for a bonus to saving throws."

Prerequisite: Constitution 13
Base Attack Bonus +1

Comments: It could be useful if you got hit with a poison. You can
activate this Feat and you'll have a better chance of making the save.
However it's probably not worth the slot since as a fighter you already
have a nice bonus to Fortitude saves.

Rating:
2

37.
Resist Poison

Official Text: "You are especially resistant to poison thanks to years
of training. You receive a +4 bonus on all saves against poison"

Comments: This is another Feat that may not be that helpful to a
fighter. Clerics also have the ability to provide the same protection.

Rating:
2
style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">38. Sap

Official Text: "Using this attack, you may render the target briefly
senseless, though it will become active if damaged again. Some
creatures may be immune to the sap effect."

Comments: Sap sounds awesome, but the stun is broken if the affected
enemy is attacked again and the cooldown is 15 seconds. Check out
Stunning Blow instead.

Rating:
1
39.
Self Sufficient

Official Text: "You can take care of yourself, and frequently others
too. You receive a +2 bonus on Heal checks and Repair checks."

Comments: You'll actually be less self-sufficient with this Feat. If
you need to improve either Heal or Repair, take one in Skill focus
instead. WORTHLESS!!

Rating:
1
style="vertical-align: top; background-color: rgb(219, 201, 125);"> style="font-weight: bold;">40. Shield Mastery

Official Text: "Increases the amount of damage you can absorb when
defending with a shield."

Prerequisite: Shield Proficiency: General

Comments: This feat is useful for someone who does a lot of shield
blocking and door plugging.  If you’re not a heavily defensive
tank, it
may not be worth the slot.

4
