Being a GOOD half elf, of course you agree.
Quest One
Elvic sends you out to investigate some mysterious campsites around the ruins and bring back your findings.
These campfires are located along the outside walls of the ruins. The drop you're looking for is a note. It's random, so you may have to go through SEVERAL campfires to get to it. Once you get it, go back to Elvic and hand it over. He then directs you to Lieutenant Germain.
Quest Two
Lieutenant Germain (curiously missing the rest of the Jackson Five) checks out the information you give him and sends you looking for his lost scout. The scout was last seen over by the pond. On the shore closest to the entrance to the zone, you'll find a pack lying all alone and abandoned on the ground (great alliteration there, huh?). Pick it up and examine it. Inside there's a note talking about some strange plants and needing to take samples back to the Lieutenant. Swim across the pond to the far side and observe that there's a whole slewpot full of strange glowy plants. Grab a leaf, any leaf at all, off one of the plants and head on back to Lieutenant Tito... I mean, Germain. Hand over the leaf sample and get rewarded with a whopping 90ish copper. Oh, and some faction.
Quest Three
Mr. Jackson asks you to go talk to Poko Zing (reward 90ish copper and faction) and tell him about the funky glowy plants. Poko sends you off to collect some things for his spiffy nullification powder.
Rubble - found around the outer walls of the ruins
Bark samples - There are four different samples. Two from outside the ruins, two from inside. North and south of the river.
For the outside bark samples, harvest a fallen branch from either side of the pond outside the ruins.
For the inside bark samples, go inside (take friends cause the stuff in there is ouchie) and harvest fallen branches from both the right and left sides of the big stone Watcher.
Return this stuff to Poko. He gives you the powder and sends you back to ... wait for it... Lieutenant Germain! That's right! You've done this before, haven't you?
Quest Four
Germain sends you to sprinkle the nullification powder on the glowy plants you first found. Trot on down to the pond and swim across. Sprinkle the powder on a bush and lo, and behold! There's a camp! With a tent! And a FIRE!!! WOW! Okay. I'm done. There's a book lying on the ground in front of the tent. Grab it and take it back to, go on, guess. You'll never guess. Lieutentant Germain. Oh, man. You guessed? Darnit. Reward for this part is approximately 1s 50c and faction.
Quest Five
Germain reads the book and sends you out to sprinkle powder on a bunch of bushes around the ruins. You need to sprinkle 8 of the random glowy bushes around the zone. A gnoll pops and begs you to kill it. Being an obliging sort, I did. You don't HAVE to if you don't want to... But I would. They smell. And they insulted your mother! When you go back to Germain (*coughJacksoncough*) he rewards you with approximately 1s 50c and some faction.
Quest Six
Germain then sends you off on a dangerous nasty mission!! He sends you back to the little glowy place on the far side of the pond to sprinkle the bushes and kill the gnoll that spawns. His name is Malox (can you say antacid?) and he spawns with a buddy. So bring one of your own.
Take Malox's head (because ya know Pepto is way better) back to Germain (ABC easy as 123) and he rewards you with a copy of the Welcome to Qeynos citizen Guide, some faction, and your choice of several different items.
Germain rewards you and thanks you for your service. But... YOU AREN'T DONE!!!! No, of course not. Because then this guide wouldn't be 800 frelling pages long... and we can't have that, now can we? So, in the interests of length, Germain sends you along to the Caves. Report to Consul Bree and get some faction.
