Betrayal from Qeynos to Freeport!

At last!! Betrayal day! Woohoo! Thank all the gods that ever were. I'm SO out of here. I've already moved,

I've already forwarded all my mail... I've even politely said goodbye to my neighbors. WITHOUT the shovel!

So I started tracking down the path of Betrayal. Let's face it, we already know I'm a masochist, because I've

already done this once, AND lived in Qeynos for freaking ever. But not even I was ready for this.

In my infinite and perfect generosity, I've taken pity on the rest of you smart, lovely people who are also

Betraying. Anyone who is planning to leave that wretched namby pamby city of Qeynos deserves all the help they can

get! Vive le Freeport!

Step One

Raze Qeynos to the ground. Walk away laughing.

Okay. So that isn't really it. Head to Qeynos Harbour and go to the fence. For those of you who do not know

where this is, it is in the canal under the bridge right before you hit the docks. Talk to Sprockfuddle down by the

fence. He'll direct you towards a friend of his in Fish's Ale House.

Step Two

Vernon Tinworthy is Sprockfuddle's friend. He can be found on the 3rd floor of Fish's Ale house. The two of you

talk a bit about selling information and how useful it can be. Naturally, he sends you out to be tested.

This sets off a string of people with whom you need to speak.

Mary Dillon - Downstairs in Fish's Ale house

Thierry Dillon - South Qeynos

Ellineea Umalia - South Qeynos

Towser Flizgibbert - Elddar Grove

Arbuthnot Jumroller - Baubleshire

Jo Ironshield - North Qeynos

Magus Weskah - North Qeynos

Vernon again - Qeynos Harbour

All of these people can be found by utilizing the find npc function with the guards.

Step Three

Vernon sends you to spy on the mages of Qeynos.

Augurer Phineas - South Qeynos. Stand under the shade tree to the Southeast of the Mage Tower.

Augurer Arnon - South Qeynos. By the Antonica gates.

Augurer Vharlan - South Qeynos. Lion's Mane Inn.

Novitiate Shorechaser - South Qeynos. By the entrance to Qeynos Harbour.

Augurer Caranthir - South Qeynos. By the entrance to the Down Below.

These steps must be completed at a certain time of day.

Take the information you spied out to Towser in Elddar Grove.

Step Four

Find the box in the South Qeynos Mage Tower. Use the red portal. Return to Towser and he sends you to Jumroller

again in Baubleshire. Return to the Mage Tower and use the key. This step must also be accomplished at a particular

time of day.

Return again to Towser in the Elddar Grove. At this point, you're offered a choice. You can continue or not.

There is no accidental Betrayal. So be sure you want to do this.

Step Five

You are now instructed to go to the Mage Tower and disrupt their workings.

At this point, there's a puzzle. You need to figure out the combination of colours to open the various portals

in the Mage Tower. This is the only time that I'll give a full on spoiler. So, if you want to figure it out for

yourself, stop reading. Otherwise, read on.

To open the blue teleporter:

Purple and red

Green and yellow

Orange and blue

To open the red teleporter:

Purple and blue

Green and red

Orange and yellow

To open the yellow teleporter:

Purple and yellow

Green and blue

Orange and red

When you've finished off the Qeynosians through the portals, return to the main room of the Mage Tower.

You are now an Exile. You'll be automatically teleported to Haven, where you'll be given a quest to familiarize

yourself with it. You'll also be given the names and locations of the NPC's who will give you the faction quests to

build up faction with the city of your choice. Yes, you may choose to return to Qeynos by rebuilding your faction

with them.
