If you keep up with the Destiny sub-Reddit, then you're probably familiar with the Rezyl Azzir character who mysteriously showed up and posted the location of a ghost in the game that no one had found. The strange user then left a Latin message on the board that translated to what looked like the release date for the next Destiny expansion.

The twentieth day of the ninth month. IT is coming. Forward, to the stars.

Unfortuantely it looks like Bungie is denying any involvement with the character in the latest weekly update, quashing the hopes of Destiny players who are desperately looking for something to do in their game.

Oh, and hey. Rezyl Azzir is not one of us. We cannot confirm nor can we decipher these riddles. It’s a mystery to us as well. Fun stuff, though. If you don’t know what we’re talking about, don’t worry about it. If you do, enjoy the speculation.

Many seem to think this is just another ploy by Bungie to throw people off, but it would be strange for them to discourage others from getting involved if that was the case. All we can do now is watch and wait for official word from the developers themselves.
