CCP Announces EVE Timeline and Navy Ship Changes

The next few months will be pretty active for the EVE Online community. CCP will hold its annual gathering of EVE Fanfest later this month, but work isn’t stopping on the game in the meantime. The developer recently revealed plans to give EVE’s Navy ships a long-overdue overhaul in the upcoming Odyssey expansion scheduled to release this June. Navy frigates, cruisers, and battlecruisers will all be getting some major updates.

In addition to changes to the Navy fleet, CCP also deployed the first iteration of the new EVE Interactive Timeline, which will explain the history and lore of EVE with an interactive timeline interface. As the feature evolves it will also eventually include excerpts from the True Stories of EVE initiative, and other significant player events that have helped shape the EVE universe.
