For those who have yet to check out a Challengestone tournament, you'll have another opportunity to do so this weekend, August 1st - 2nd. Challengestone is a unique tournament format that imposes unique rules on deck-building, with the participants only finding out what the restrictions will be right before the event. The players will have to build 3 decks following the rules in a short timed period, and penalties are imposed if any of their decks break the rules.

This format challenges players not only in their ability to play the game well, but to think quickly on their feet and construct worthwhile decks under pressure. It's an extremely entertaining format, and one that will test players in a variety of ways, more so than a traditional tournament.

Each match will be best of 5, single elimination. The finals will feature a best of 7 format, with one deck being revived. Finalists will be allowed to modify their decks.

The players are:

Noxious - Complexity

Freshca - Zeveron

Forsen

JustSaiyan - Tempo/Storm

Stancifka - Luminosity Gaming

Lothar - Nihilium

Neirea - Team Liquid

Jondo (Qualified from ESL Tavern Brawl League)

Normally, the winner of the previous Challengestone event attends the next one. However, Kolento (who won Challengestone 2) is unable to attend, but will be invited back for a future tournament.

Challengestone 3 will be cast by Kripp and Gaara, with the stream beginning at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific each day. There's a $3,000 prize pool on the line, so make sure to tune in!
