Respawn Entertainments debut title, Titanfall, is currently working its way through alpha testing. Fans hoping to get a shot at the game before its release may be happy to know that an open beta has not been ruled out as of yet according to Community Manager Abbie Heppe.

You can make of that comment what you will, either way, Titanfall will officially launch for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on March 11th, 2014. In addition to that tidbit of news, the ESRB has rated Titanfall M for Mature, something that comes as no surprise.
If youre interested in getting an early look at the alpha gameplay, Eurogamer has posted a collection of several leaked alpha test videos. Just dont expect them to be around for very long.
After a bit of negative feedback on the alpha test footage, Respawn Programmer Rayme Vinson took to Twitter to explain that the resolution of the textures in the alpha test version has been greatly reduced.
Textures in the Titanfall closed alpha test are reduced to 25% resolution. Huge difference. Leaked pics don't represent final game.

@ubuntuaddicted @MrErnestLe If you see a 256x256 texture in the Alpha, it's actually a 512x512 texture in the real game. It'll be 4x bigger.

And that is why they usually cast an NDA on alphas.
Titanfall recently received a lot of criticism after revealing that its multiplayer matches would be capped at 6v6.
