EverQuest II Producer Holly Longdale penned her latest Producer’s Letter over the weekend to reveal an adjustment in the release schedule for the new Heroic Characters and Tears of Veeshan expansion. The upcoming Tears of Veeshan expansion is expected to begin beta testing on October 15th with launch to follow around mid-November. Longdale took a moment to talk up the expansion, indicating that it is “something special

“Our 10th expansion, EverQuest II: Tears of Veeshan, is getting closer to Beta,” wrote EverQuest II Producer Holly Longdale. “This team is putting together an expansion that will be something special! The overland -- Vesspyr Isles, the Eternal Broodlands -- is really amazing. Flying through it is incredible with more and more variety and flavor every day. The dungeons are coming together beautifully and the content is too! We appreciate all the feedback we got during SOE Live and are grateful for all the playtests of the Channeler class. We are putting final touches on that too.

Longdale also addressed feedback from players about the new level 85 Heroic Characters, which were announced at SOE Live 2013. The introduction of these characters have prompted SOE to reevaluate their Free & Silver plans, which will apparently be getting a bit more content by way of zones from the Destiny of Velious expansion. Players will still have the option to purchase the full Age of Discovery expansion as well or opt to buy parts of it individually, including the Beastmaster class.
