Rumors began circulating over the last week about a possible change in leadership over at BioWare with some reports indicating that co-founder Greg Zeschuk had departed the developer. Some solid information is finally available today via Gamasutra, who confirmed that Greg Zeschuk has stepped down as the Austin studio's GM back in May as part of the restructuring. Zeschuck, however, remains a part of EA and BioWare and will be taking on a broader range of projects with BioWare as part of the move.

In an email to the Gamasutra, Zeschuk wrote:

My time in Austin was always planned to have a finite endpoint (my family was still living in Edmonton throughout my time in Austin) and now that I've handed the baton to Matt, I will be able to spend more time on a wider range of BioWare games rather than focusing on just one as I did with SWTOR.

Zeschuk's replacement, Matt Bromberg, was selected by both Zeschuck and Ray Muzyka.

So there you have it. BioWare's co-foundering doctors are still in.
