The MMORPG that isn't...
When we went to E3 2005, the marketing around Hellgate: London was nebulous. It was described as a MMORPG, though when we arrived at the Namco Bandai booth we learned that is was a max-32 multiplayer online game in a sort of hub-and-instance format. With the announcement of a release date, however, we learn that the game is an "action role-playing game," perhaps a little like Shadowbane rather than an MMORPG. Case closed.
