NCsoft is unleashing that missing third class from the 4.0 update with the heavily armored, and heavily armed, Aethertech class with Aion’s upcoming 4.5 update. Utilizing a magical suit of armor and magical mounts, the Aethertech class is capable of unleashing both short and long-ranged attacks by pulsing aether through its suit to form heavy artillery weapons such as rail guns, blades, Gatling guns, rockets, and more, making them a useful ally in PvE, PvP, and on raids.

The Aethertech will arrive in Aion with Update 4.5. The update will hit PTS in Korea on July 29th with a NA launch to follow after localization work. In the meantime, check out the trailer below for a peek at the Aethertech in action.

By pulsing aether through these armored suits, the Aethertech can form Gatling guns, rail guns, blades, electric whips, gigantic fists, and even rocket launchers to devastate their opponents.

Aion 4.5, featuring The Aethertech class, hits Korean test servers July 29 and will arrive on North American servers after the normal localization process.
