Rumors are once again stirring that console gaming giant Microsoft is seeking to bring free-to-play gaming to its Xbox 360 console. Develop is reporting that sources inside of Microsoft has told them that the company is calling on developers behind the scenes to discuss possible free-to-play games for the console that can use either microtransaction items or premium services to generate revenue.

If this latest report turns out to be true, it will show once again how the free-to-play model has developers and publishers drooling at the potential revenue these models can generate. That said, what kind of games do you think we could possibly see using his model on the Xbox 360? Some time ago we learned that free-to-play publisher Nexon will be bringing Dungeon Fighter Online to the Xbox 360 later this year. But who else could Microsoft possibly be bringing into the mix? Stay tuned and we'll update you when we learn more.
