Here we are once again. It seems that Star Citizen continues to grow at a pace of over $1 million per week as of late. And at current, it’s showing no signs of slowing down and hitting stretch goals much faster than expected.

Chris Roberts recently penned a new Letter from the Chairman to discuss the latest milestone, which also unlocks a PDF of Jane’s Fighting Ships manual free to all pledgers, the option for players to compete for control of space stations across the galaxy, and the RSI Museum, a new feature that will air monthly to reveal a new game feature.

In addition to the rapid inflow of cash, Star Citizen is quickly approaching its $20 million stretch goal, which will add first-person combat on lawless planets. With that goal so close now, Roberts revealed plans for a $21 million stretch goal, which will add the new Salvaging career to Star Citizen.

Salvage Mechanic: Salvage isn’t an aside: it’s a career, with its own mechanic, story tie-ins and universe-shaping endgames. Search the galaxy for a host of valuable and interesting secrets using both the flight and FPS components. Discover the secrets of the ancient Hadesians, locate valuable components and cargo… or go down in history the first to make contact an entirely new alien race!

At the current rate of pledged funding, both of these goals will be unlocked before the end of September. So stay tuned and we'll see what Roberts has to tempt the cash to jump out of our wallets next.
