Star Citizen Has a Record-Breaking Funding Year

Star Citizen's crowdfunding efforts show no signs of slowing down.   The game is expected to enter beta testing in Q4 of 2020.

The Star Citizen team has shared that the company brought in approximately $47.7 million from crowdfunding last year.   You can visit the Robert Space Industries website to see the live crowdfunding stats.

Star Citizen is actually two projects in one.  The current Persistent Universe or PU is similar to a massively multiplayer game.  It is available to backers in its current alpha state.   Squadron 42 is a single-player game expected to hit beta this year.
