EA boss explains the huge amount of content associated with each of BioWare's upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic classes.

In a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, President of EA Games Label Frank Gibeau stated that Star Wars: The Old Republic will feature 200 hours of gameplay for each of the game’s classes and that doesn’t even factor in things like crafting, raids and other multiplayer content. What that 200 hours does includes isn't elaborated on unfortunately, but we can speculate that a fair portion of it will include the detailed storyline missions and possibly some other side mission content designed for solo play given that the statement did not factor in some of the multiplayer content.

While not giving a solid budget cost for the game, Gibeau downplayed the speculation that has been tossed around about the game costing over $300 million, but at the same time Gibeau does state that he wished that the game had not cost quite so much to develop.

Do I wish it wasn't this expensive? Absolutely, but I think everybody does. At the same time it doesn't really do us much good to comment on how much it costs. Ultimately what matters is whether it's a good service and do people really like the game?
