The Ten Ton Hammer Event Squad is heading to Seattle this week for the mighty PAX Prime. Our full run of event coverage is set to kick off on Friday, August 29th and will run throughout the following week, so be sure to check back often for the latest and greatest news, interviews, and videos covering the Wide World of MMOs.

If our evolving schedule for the event is any indication, PAX Prime is growing to epic proportions this year, with many of our biggest appointments taking place off-site at a variety of locations in downtown Seattle.

PAX Primer

Below is a brief rundown of some of the development studios we’ll be meeting up with later this week.

Sony Online Entertainment

Just prior to PAX Prime, Landmark will be getting a major update that includes the first building blocks of combat, and will even allow players to enable a number of PvP modes on their claims. We’ll be discussing how combat will evolve moving forward in Landmark, and also following up with the team from H1Z1 to see how player feedback during SOE Live has impacted development for the game.

Carbine Studios

It’s been a wild ride since the launch of WildStar earlier this summer. We’ll be checking in with our friends from Carbine Studios to find out what’s next for its wildly popular MMOG.

Trion Worlds

With four major closed beta events under its belt for ArcheAge, Trion is on the verge of unleashing one very popular sandbox MMO on its Western audience. What can fans expect once ArcheAge goes live? We’ll be discussing that, plus the latest from RIFT, Trove, and Defiance when we meet up with our friends at Trion later this week.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade

Following a successful showing at E3 and the launch of its official Founder’s program, the team behind the upcoming Warhammer 40k have been hard at work this summer. We’ll find out how development has been progressing since our E3 preview, discussing the pros and cons of transparent development cycles, and any additional insights the team is willing to share.

Guns of Icarus Online

We last met up with the folks from Guns of Icarus during PAX East last spring, and since then the game has gained some interesting new gameplay additions. We’ll be finding out all we can about the future of Adventure Mode, and much more!

This is just a small sampling of the studios we’ll be meeting up with during PAX Prime 2014. Are there any MMOs you’re most interested in hearing more about from the event? Drop by our official Facebook and Twitter pages and let us know!

For those of you attending PAX Prime who are interested in meeting up with Team Hammer during the event, be sure to stop by the Elephant & Castle at 7:00 PM on Thursday where we’ll be meeting up with our friends over at MMO Reporter for their annual PAX fan event!
