New details have emerged this week for the game born from Curt Schilling's team of visionaries, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

G4TV.com recently got the chance to get some hands on time with Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and find out first-hand how the game's class system, crafting and combat functions. Described by the author as "a combination of Fable-esque combat and Dragon Age-derived dialog/quests in a Skyrim-inspired open world", the game offers action oriented combat while maintaining the RPG-style decision-making choices experienced in games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

Some of the systems described like the ability to pickpocket NPCs and possibly be caught and punished by a guard sound much like those from Oblivion, which isn't surprising given that one of the 38 Studios visionaries, Ken Rolston, was behind Oblivion's design. Rolston is part of Schilling's team of visionaries and is helping to merge the worlds of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and 38 Studios' upcoming MMORPG tie-in currently codenamed Project Copernicus.
