The free-to-play hack'n'slash MMOG Mythos kicked off its closed beta earlier this month and the testing seems to be moving right along. Publisher Frogster recently announced that the game's open beta will begin on April 12th, 2011, giving loyal fans a chance to explore Uld and find out what kind of content they'll be in for at launch while squashing a few bugs and stress testing the servers.

The open beta will feature an increase in the level cap from 27 to 50 and the opening of the third zone for the game, Umbral Peaks. If you're itching to try the game now, there's still time to sign up for the closed beta, which will expanding its availability to include French, German, Turkish, Polish and English players.
