Weekend Game Deals

It’s that time of the week once again. Friday is here and that means that it’s time for another Weekend Gaming Roundup to help get you ready for a weekend of hardcore (and cheap) gaming. So let’s get started.

We’re starting with Steam this weekend because as I write this I’m downloading the PC Early Access version of State of Decay. And it will be nice to try this on something that isn’t made of 8-year old hardware (I’m looking at you Xbox 360). All the same, if you have a controller and love a good zombie game, this is one you may want to pick up be it now or later. Now on to the deals.

This weekend you can try out the action movie parody action side-scroller game, The Showdown Effect, for free through Sunday. If you like it you can buy it for 75% off with the Standard Edition for $2.49 or the Digital Deluxe Edition for $4.99.

Also on the sale list this week you’ll find several other titles, some of which are themed for the International Talk Like a Pirate Day from this week such as The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition ($2.50), Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck’s Revenge ($2.49), Sid Meier’s Pirates ($2.50), Zombie Pirates ($3.75), Exodus from Earth ($3.74), MacGuffin’s Curse ($3.75), and more. Additionally, today’s Steam Daily Deal is Towns ($5.09).
