Welcome back!  This is my 86th attempt at this column.

That’s like writing Green Eggs and Ham (which uses 50 different words) 664 times.    Sam-I-Am!!!!

Actually I’m John Hoskin and I would not eat green eggs and ham.

“Any intelligent fool can make things bigger and more complex… It takes a touch of genius – and a lot of courage to move in the opposite direction.” – Albert Einstein

Everyone can use a feel good moment to start the day.   Let’s go with this…

Thanks for taking some time out of your day to read this column.  I truly appreciate it.    If you happen to use Twitter, you can follow me @BoomjackTTH.   I rarely use Facebook, but I do occasionally post gaming related tidbits on Google+ where you can find me under my real moniker John Hoskin.

Sometimes a game comes out of nowhere to grab hold of the MMOG community.   It surprises gaming veterans and acquires a groundswell of exposure because it was simply so unexpected.

World of Tanks is this type of game.  It was literally unheard of, but before you could say M3 Stuart it had a fanbase of tens of thousands and was growing faster than anything in the genre.

If you haven’t tried this gem yet then jump over to our WoT New Player Giveawayand get started.

“Claim your key and we'll get you behind the controls of your own M3 Stuart, the first US light tank that saw extensive service in WWII. The M3 Stuart has reasonable armor for its class and the upgraded 37mm guns are fast and accurate. Speed and stealth are the keys to survival for light tanks and the M3 excels in both. As a bonus, you'll also have a premium World of Tanks membership for one day and 300 gold.”

What games surprised you when they launched?  For me it was the original Portal.  There was plenty of hype, but none of it prepared me for the game.

In other news, League of Legends players are clamoring about the Dominion Update.  How can you not check out a game made in Dublin, Ireland?

When our team wasn’t driving a tank or going all MOBA in League of Legends they were talking to Richard A. Knaak, the author of the latest World of Warcraft novel, Wolfheart

If you prefer to play WoW rather than read about it, Byron has posted a guide to stat caps.   How much hit, expertise, etc. do you really need?

Last, but not least Gameindustry.bizhad interviewed Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk on the plan for Star Wars: The Old Republic post launch.

That’s it for today.  Thanks again for reading and as always, may your dreams be big and your worries be small.

Until we meet again,

John “Boomjack” Hoskin
