Destiny 2: Beyond Light Pre-Order Options

Destiny 2: Beyond Light has a few different pre-order options.  Which is best for you?

The next expansion for Destiny 2 arrives this fall.  Announced on July 9th, Beyond Light was will release on September 22 for all platforms. The expansion has been available to pre-order on PS4, Xbox One, Steam, and Stadia since it was announced.

The expansion introduces a new elemental power, Stasis. It also adds a brand-new six-person raid.

The next major expansions that will come after Beyond Light are also known.  Witch Queen will arrive in 2021.  Lightfall will be available in 2022. 

Bungie announced that Destiny 2 will be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. If you purchase Destiny 2: Beyond Light on Xbox One, it'll be available on Xbox Series X for free as part of Xbox Smart Delivery. PS4 purchases will also upgrade to PS5 for free.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light pre-order bonuses

Anyone who pre-orders Destiny 2: Beyond Light will get instant access to a special Exotic Ghost Shell, Legendary Emblem, and other bonus items.

Pre-order Destiny 2: Beyond Light standard edition | $40

The Beyond Light expansion on its own is available to pre-order for $40, and you'll get the aforementioned pre-order bonuses.

Pre-order Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansion + season | $50

Bungie is also offering a bundle with Destiny 2: Beyond Light and access to Season 12 content along with the Stranger's Weapon Pack, including the No Time to Explain Exotic Pulse Rifle and Catalyst.

Pre-order Destiny 2: Beyond Light Digital Deluxe edition | $70

The Digital Deluxe Edition for Destiny 2: Beyond Light gets you the expansion and a full year of seasonal content along with other various bonuses. The Digital Deluxe Edition will be available on all platforms.
