It's Friday. The Simpson's movie enters theatres today. ComicCON coverage continues.
Games, game events and game commentary should be entertaining. We are an entertainment industry. Where did the fun go? Where are the golden years when Phil Comeau would walk into the Nickelodeon booth at E3 and arms spread to the heavens start screaming out his Spongebob Squarepants impression at the top of his lungs?
Hooo now...It seems Phil performed an encore performance in the Nick booth yesterday at ComicCON. If you were there and have snapshots or better yet video, please send it in.
Now, somebody please explain this fascination with Harry Potter to me. Mr. Potter and his band of magic wielding comrades made my Top Ten Franchises that should be a MMOG, but only because of the sheer number of people who would be attracted to the industry by such a title. Personally, I don't get it. I started to read the first book, a number of times, but found it, well, boring and cumbersome. Granted I enjoy the works of Steven Erikson, so my tastes are not necessarily in line with those of the Harry Potter Cult. Somebody explain what makes this series of books so enjoyable and maybe I'll give it another shot.
More questions for you, the Loading... Legions!!!! OK, just one, can a MMOG network like TenTonHammer survive without advertising? Is the content itself enough for members to pay for? In our case, we don't have a very high membership fee. It's only $19.95 a year. Is a website like TTH worth $19.95 a year? If so, you can support us here. If not, what would give you a value of $19.95 or about the same price that you pay for one month of access to your favourite game? We are always trying to deliver more of what you want. If you don't let us know, we'll just deliver what everyone else wants and hoo-boy, you've seen what they want...pictures of fat men using laptops, poetry by Rosie.... ewwww. Seriously, what would you like to see on our network?
